Swimming, Mountains, and Vitamin Water. [Apr. 22nd, 2007|07:15 pm]
[mood | peaceful]
[music |scat section of How High the Moon]

Portland 07
Back, wanna go back, back I wanna go.
This wont be as detailed as some other little girl's, but I'm putting some pictures up.
I had a lot of fun, much swimming, the first night I was crying for two hours because I had some kind of bad reaction with the cholrine. It's just a coincidence that Opra was on. No jk it was the chlorine.
Ummm oh yeah then skating was pretty fun, freakin huge mall (I'm actually running off Joy's post, so you're better to read hers first :P).
The sights of the next day were absolutley beautiful, with everything in the shadow of the multnomah falls. It was a small mountain that I could spend hours and hours exploring. The group was fun to be with, but even better was just listening to the sounds of the waterfall alone.
The next day, we went to powell's city of books, but first went to Whole Foods to buy Vitamin Water *shakes fist at Joy for getting me hooked*. Powell's books was incredible, with three stories and a whole city block taken up. Kaiza, Joy and I spent most of the time in the religious and beliefs section, which was very interesting. We could have spent a lot more time in there, but it was fun nevertheless. Next was the sub, which was cool. Small, but cool. We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner, whereupon Matt grossed everyone out by showing why he hadn't been eating all week. The kid ate like four peoples' meals, then a birthday brownie, then someone's ice cream. And he's tiny.
The last day, we got up at 6:15 and no one was awake for hours after. Ben got pictures of everyone sleeping:) and when I was awake I was taking pictures of the beautiful trip up to Mt St Helens (not the muntain itself, silly). The Coldwater Ridge Observatory itself was really boring besides a great view of the mountains, and we had some really greasy pizza. It was gross.
We crossed the border without Kevin (crazy Korean gr.8) getting us in trouble with the law, which was a suprise. Before the ferry we spent some time playing with a football-like object of Matt's, and played with a whale. On the ferry, we spent most of the time singing on the deck in a small group, with an accumulated audience.
It was an awesome trip, with lots to remember. The people made it what it was, and we bonded hardcore. Ben and I will be marrying shortly.

A little well-placed sexism [Dec. 17th, 2006|09:05 pm]
[mood | quixotic]
[music |Classical Gas -Eric Clapton]

Okay, you girls are gonna hate me.
I was doing a poetry assignment with an online thesaurus, and I stumbled on this:

Main Entry: lady
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: woman
Synonyms: adult, babe, bag, baroness, bitch, broad, butterfly, contessa, countess, dame, doll, duchess, female, gal, gentlewoman, girl, little woman, mama, mare, matron, missus, mistress, old bag, old lady, old woman, petticoat, princess, queen, queen bee, rib, squaw, sultana, weaker sex*

Aha. Weaker sex. Man. Roget's a douchebag. A funny douchebag.
All I gotta say is
"SMOKED HAM."
k bye.

Okay.
I just thought this up.
"I need to facilitate flaccidity in the faculty facility."
Like it?
I do.
I can't wait til I have to pee.
So I can say that.
